Chateau La Tulipe
Château la Tulipe is the 13th century wine castle of winemaker and author Ilja Gort. Beautifully positioned among its lavish green vineyards, it is situated on a hill overlooking the valley of the Dordogne river.
The chateau is surrounded by nearly 90 acres of vineyards, subdivided into 30 plots that are each vinified separately. They are planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon en Cabernet Franc grapes. Careful manual harvest selection and the highest qualitative standards are safeguarded by world famous winemaker Michel Rolland from Pomerol.
The vineyards at Chateau la Tulipe are provided by a permanent team led by Klaas Gort and winemaker Caroline Shipley.
